It's that time of year again! No, not springtime; it's audition season! If you are in Chamber Orchestra or wish to play in the Symphony Orchestra next year, please pick up a copy of the etude (you're allowed a maximum of four mistakes on that when you audition, by the way) - and don't forget to sign up for audition times. If you are a senior or you made GMEA All-State this year, you're exempt. :)
Scales and arpeggios required for the auditions and end-of-year playing exams for every orchestra can be found here.
Just as a heads-up, the orchestras will all be undergoing a name change next year. The current Chamber Orchestra will become the Alpharetta Symphony Orchestra, the current Concert Orchestra will be the Chamber Orchestra, and the Freshman Orchestra will be the Concert Orchestra.
