Let's say that Player One decides to challenge Player Two. Player One must fill out a challenge slip with his or her name, the name of the person he or she is challenging, and the passage that he or she wants to challenge with. Within twenty-four hours of receiving the challenge slip, Player Two must return the slip to Player One with the measure numbers for the passage that he or she would like to respond to the challenge with. At this point, both players must agree on a time to complete the challenge and check with Mr. Fisher to make sure he is available.
During a challenge, Mr. Fisher will listen to both students play both passages. The winner of the challenge is determined by whoever makes the least amount of mistakes while playing the passages. In the case of a tie, the seating will remain the same - to win a challenge, you must prove that you are clearly better than the person you are challenging.
Failure to return the challenge slip within twenty-four hours or to show up for the scheduled challenge time may result in automatic forfeit of the challenge.
